Nixu and SANS to collaborate: Training of information security experts increases the cyber resilience of organizations in Finland
Nixu, the European cybersecurity services company, and SANS Institute, the largest global organization providing cybersecurity training and certifications, have joined forces to provide high-quality cybersecurity training to organizations operating in Finland.
Through the collaboration, Nixu aims, in particular, to make topical and high-quality information security training easily available to companies and organizations operating in Finland. The SANS courses and related GIAC certifications are designed to develop the competencies and practical skills of those working in the field of information security.
Nixu aims at organizing a total of five courses during 2022. The first training, SEC504 Hacker Tools, Techniques, Exploits, and Incident Handling, will take place in May–June and is one of the most popular courses of SANS. In the collaboration, SANS is responsible of the course content and training solutions designed to develop the competencies of technical experts. The courses will be arranged as classroom training in the Helsinki metropolitan area.
"The majority of organizations that end up as victims of cybercriminals are associated with insufficient investment in cybersecurity. Training and continuous learning of information security experts are the basic prerequisites for organizations to stand their ground in the constant fight against cyber threats. We are delighted to be able to offer top-notch hands-on cybersecurity training to organizations operating in Finland as part of our collaboration with SANS", says Anu Laitila, Cybersecurity Awareness Business Manager at Nixu Corporation.
"We are very pleased about our collaboration. Together with Nixu, we are able to promote and enhance the cybersecurity capabilities of organizations operating in Finland by making technical information security training easily available to them”, says Mike Bates, Director Nordics, SANS Institute.
