YIT is the largest Finnish and significant North European construction company. YIT develops and builds apartments and living services, business premises and entire areas. IT is also specialised in demanding infrastructure construction and paving.  YIT employes nearly 10,000 professionals in 11 countries. The new YIT was born when over 100-year-old YIT Corporation and Lemminkäinen Corporation merged on February 1, 2018. The restated pro forma revenue for 2018 was approximately EUR 3.2 billion.

YIT wanted to improve its ability to detect information security threats and breaches. YIT’s service production model was changing and the company was looking for a cybersecurity partner. Nixu has a proactive approach to information security threats. Certain areas of the customer’s environment are constantly monitored using state-of-the-art technology. When the monitoring system detects an anomaly in the customer’s environment, the control room is immediately notified and Nixu’s experts start investigating the reasons for the anomaly and the gravity of the possible threat. The service operates around the clock. At YIT, the service covers the workstations and service platforms that are used in the daily work.

Thanks to the cooperation, YIT has a close and trustworthy cybersecurity partner that can detect and solve security breaches in its IT environment. Nixu’s SOC (Security Operations Center) service team offers YIT top-quality monitoring around the clock. Acquiring similar capabilities of their own would be difficult and expensive for YIT.
