Nixu to participate in International Atomic Energy Agency’s conference on computer security in a nuclear world

Nixu lead consultant Jarkko Holappa will deliver a presentation in the International Atomic Energy Agency’s (IAEA) event “International Conference on Computer Security in a Nuclear World” in Vienna at the beginning of June.

The presentation is based on a paper prepared in cooperation with Nixu, TVO and STUK. TVO operates nuclear powerplants in Olkiluoto, Finland and STUK is the Radiation and Nuclear Safety Authority of Finland. Holappa is the main author of the paper to be presented, entitled: "Threat-based computer security supervisory oversight process”.

Nixu is one of the companies presenting at the event. Holappa, as one of the experts and trainers for IAEA computer security topics, is one of the 180 experts giving presentations and poster sessions.

International Atomic Energy Agency, an organization within the United Nations family, organizes the event for 600 participants from 96 countries. There will be representatives from 15 international organizations and from the majority of countries that operate nuclear power plants.

In addition to nuclear power plant operators and authorities, the participants will include system vendors and Industrial Internet-focused companies from other fields of business, as the conference will cover a wide range of industrial cybersecurity related topics.
